Visit with a doctor or a registered nurse remotely — anytime, anywhere.
Virtual visits are convenient and cost-effective options when you need care for a non-emergency medical condition, such as flu, allergies, sore throat, infections, etc.). No appointment is needed.
Call the BCBSIL 24/7 Nurseline at 1-800-299-0274 to talk to a registered nurse who can help answer your health questions, provide advice, and help you determine if you should see your doctor or go to urgent care or the ER.
If you’re enrolled in a Kaiser Permanente regional medical option, you have several convenient ways to get care when you have a minor health issue:
- Phone appointment — Schedule an appointment to talk with you doctor over the phone. Appointments are often available the same or next day.
- Video visit — Meet face-to-face with a doctor by video. Appointments are often available the same or next day.
- Email — Message your doctor’s office with non-urgent questions anytime and get a response usually within two business days.
- E-visit — Fill out a short questionnaire about your symptoms online and personalized self-care advice from a Kaiser Permanente provider.
