Getting Married

Last Updated January 27, 2022

When you get married, you can make certain changes to your benefits without having to wait for the next Annual Enrollment.

Overview

You have 30 days following your marriage to make changes to certain benefits or you will have to wait until the next Annual Enrollment period. NOTE: Marriage does NOT include the person of the same- or opposite-sex with whom you have a domestic partner relationship. You are responsible for making the changes on the enrollment website. Your new coverage will be effective from the date of your marriage.
